MURPHY NC - HOW A DEER CLOSED A SALE!!!!

In Murphy, NC we are have a lot of deer. During the Fall I see deer at least 4 times a week on my way to and from the office. I recently had a couple from Florida who I have been working with for several months to help them find their perfect retirement home.

We pulled up to a home which had a creek running along the side of the property. We got out of the car and they immediately walked over to the creek and commented on how soothing the rushing water sounded and how peaceful and secluded the property was. I glanced to my right and noticed what I thought was a statue of a deer bedded down in the grass...

Well.... to my surprise when I started walking towards the statue it moved... I recently read some articles about deer and their behavior and I remember specifically if deer are bedded down do not attempt to approach them because they might charge you... We proceeded to go into the home and when we were in the kitchen my client looked out the kitchen window and notice the doe had gotten up and was moving towards the front porch. Against my advice my client went out and started towards the doe which continued to come his way. My client was about 3 feet from the doe and put out his hand at which time the doe came right up to him. I immediately started taking pictures. I could not believe what I was seeing....

My clients were amazed at what just happened and felt it was a SIGN..... They purchased the property

MAMMOGRAMS - ALL WOMEN NEED TO BE CONCERNED !!!!!!

The recent news that a government appointed panel (US Preventive Services Task Force) published recommendation against routine screening of mammograms should CONCERN every WOMEN. The panel even urged against teaching and encouraging women to do routine self-examinations.

" The beginning of Heath Care Rationing"

I am a BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR who 12 years ago at age 40 had a mammogram. The test showed abnormal shapes of cells in my right breast. I had a biospy and was diagnosed with Ductual Carsomina Insitu. This can only be detected by a mammogram.

I was healthy women, wife and mom, with 2 beautiful little boys..... I was terrified!!!!. I ended up having a mastectomy along with reconstructive surgery.I was very lucky because it was detected early and I didn't need any radiation or medication.... I have been CANCER FREE for 12 years.

I have a mammogram every year... I always wonder if I had not had that mammogram when I was 40, would I be here today to tell my story. I am very active in my community - Murphy NCRely For Life www.RealyForLife.org and I encourage all WOMEN to have a mammogram.....

MURPHY NC - HONOR OUR SOLDIERS

Veterans Day is a time to remember the brave men and women who serve our country and who protect us and fight for our freedoms that we so take for granted now a days...

My husband a retired Naval Officer who I have been married to for 2 years and served this country for 28 years. He served as a Navy Seal for 18 years and said that if he had a chance to do it all over again.. HE WOULD...

He was member of 3 separate Seal Teams and all of his buddies he served with never made it. My husband has been shot and stabbed numerous times and has the scars to show for it. He was on a secret mission when their aircraft went down and he was the only survivor of his team. He broke almost every bone and had to learn to walk all over again... But he still went back... You will never hear these stories on the news.

He has seen the worst that humans can do to each other and has witnessed things that you cannot imagine. He struggles with why is he still alive after all he has been through... why has GOD spared his life some many times.  I have always told him that it was GODS intervention that brought us together. He needed someone in his life who would wake him from the nightmares and be there for him with open arms and love him unconditionally...

My son will be graduating High School this year and in July will be entering the Marines... That's all he has talked about for the last 12 months. It's in his heart to serve our country... I am very proud of him but SCARED as HELL!!!
